As promised here is the test showing how easy this Fatwood from Hagwood Fire Starters catches a spark. A small spark from the firesteel and this stuff was blazing. I had to blow it out in fear of making too much smoke at my apartment. Below is the links to purchase their kits.

In this video I demonstrate how to make long burning wax coated cotton face rounds to be used to make fires, give off light, heat up food etc. A subscriber of mine (OldTimerLee) gave me this method and today I finally was able to try out and test successfully. I will be doing more videos on these “Fire Rounds”.

What you will need:

1 package of facial cotton rounds
1 block of Gulf Wax
1 Pot to hold water
1 Pot/Oven safe dish to melt the wax in
1 Tong or tweezers
1 piece of wax paper or foil
1 small spatula (to scrape the rounds off of the wax paper)
