SALVATION

STUDY #1

Salvation means deliverance from sin and its consequence.  Review and meditate on these truths until you can say with confidence, “I know I am saved…I have been born into God’s family as His child…I now have eternal life”.

1. Circle key words or phrases in the following scriptures:

Matthew 1
21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[1] because he will save his people from their sins.”

Romans 5
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Ephesians 2
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

Romans 10
13for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[1]

John 1
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God– 13children born not of natural descent,[1] nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

 John 3

* 16“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[1] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
